Under a brooding sky, Primary 2 recently took their minibeast learning out into the wild and on to the shores of the bonnie bonnie banks. Following a cruise up Loch Lomond from Tarbet to Inversnaid, the pupils explored the beach and woodlands around Inversnaid and found a fabulous array of minibeasts in their habitats. They filled their bug pots, identified species, dodged midges and had a lovely lunch overlooking the loch before cruising back to Tarbet in the afternoon. Despite the dramatic skies over the loch, the rain stayed away all day. The midges however, forgot to read the script. But P2 are a hardy bunch and weren’t going to let that spoil their adventure. You can watch our minibeast adventure and see some of the photos from our day below. Enjoy.
A very special thank you to Mr Cordner for chartering the boat and taking time to take us to Inversnaid. The children had a wonderful time.
