P2 rolled into the holidays with fun-filled week of Easter activities to support our RME learning. The story chair in the imaginative area was a great setting for our Easter Story topic work. As we sat outside on a beautiful spring day we discussed the main events in the story, ordered, retold and illustrated them under a glorious blue sky. We also worked hard all week to create a special egg hunt. Writing clues was pretty tricky at first but we came up with lots of fun ideas about where to hide our clues. Our holiday homework was to secretly hide the clues and set up the egg hunt for our families to solve. We ended the week with a P2 tradition; the annual egg roll. Unfortunately, the traditional hill in Hermitage Park was closed-off as they construct the new look park, so we opted for the big ramp at the back of the playground instead. Three words: concrete, smithereens, seagulls. But lots of fun. We hope you enjoyed the break.
