On Tuesday 28th March Primary 5 pupils and parents participated in a workshop led by volunteers from BT Internet.
The workshop talked about strategies to use to stay safe when online and made links with relevant articles from the UNCRC including:
You have the right to privacy.
You have the right to get information that is important to your well-being, from radio, newspaper, books, computers and other sources. Adults should make sure that the information you are getting is not harmful, and help you find and understand the information you need.
It was a great opportunity for parents and children to discuss the safety issues together especially those that come up through the use of social media and online gaming.
Thank you to all those who gave up their time to attend the workshop!
