On Tuesday 24th April the school had a very important visitor from UNICEF. His name was Gerry McMurtrie.
He came to see if our school was worthy of the UNICEF RRSA silver award. The C.O.R.E. committee toured Gerry and his trainee Elenor around the school and showed them all of the displays. Gerry and Elenor liked the class charters and a few pupils from each class explained their charters. Outside Primary 2 was a display of all the entries in the Woofles art competition. After the C.O.R.E. had shown Gerry and Elenor all the displays in the school, they took into the drama room and showed them a presentation that the C.O.R.E. committee had prepared to show our rights journey.
Gerry and Elenor were very impressed and said we have done very well. Not only did they award us our RRSA silver status but they said that we are well on our way to the gold award. More news to follow…
