Primary 6B chose had so many ideas for their class charter that we made one joining all our ideas together. We read through the articles and chose an initial 9 to focus on, before nominating a class member to help us whittle it down to 6 for our charter. We feel this worked really well as we worked together and listened to each other’s opinions.
Our articles are:
Article 5: Governments must respect the rights and responsibilities of parents and carers to direct and guide their children as they grow up, so that they can enjoy their rights properly.
Article 6: Every child has the right to life.
Article 12: Every child has the right to have a say in all matters affecting them, and to have their views taken seriously.
Article 16: Every child has the right to privacy.
Article 28: Every child has the right to an education.
Article 31: Every child has the right to relax and play.
