P5: Purple for Polio Planting

Primary 5 recently spent time working with Mrs Barrie and Miss Eriksen planting crocus bulbs to promote the Rotary Club initiative, Purple for Polio. The team of crack gardners planted bulbs in pots around the school in the hope that they flourish into beautiful purple flowers. The purple flowers symbolise the purple dye used to mark the finger of a child who has been immunied against polio. The gardening team will temd to the pots over the coming months so check back in May/June to, fingers crossed, see some beautiful flowers in bloom.
