P4 RRS Class Charter (2016)
In Primary 4 we chose the following Articles:
Article 13
Children have the right to find out things and say what they want through speaking, writing, drawing, etc.
The children will:
- Show respectful listening skills.
- Think about the language they are using.
- Respect other pupils and what they have to say.
- Use library and school resources.
The teachers will:
- Listen to all children and take their views and opinions into account.
- Encourage turn taking.
- Provide resources.
Article 15
All children have the right to meet, make friends with and join clubs with other children.
The children will:
- Join a school club.
- Allow other pupils to join games in the clubs.
- Look out for pupils by themselves.
- Give everyone the chance to participate and express their ideas.
The teachers will:
- Offer help and advice when things are not going to plan.
- Encourage respectful friendships.
Article 24
All children should have clean water, good food and clean environment so they can stay healthy.
The children will:
- Bring a water bottle every day.
- Bring a healthy snack 2-3 times a week.
- Tidy up after themselves.
- Take an active part in health week.
The teacher will:
- Set a good example.
- Encourage healthy meal/snack options.
- Keep the class tidy.
- Set up a water bottle storage area.
Article 29
Education should teach the children to respect the natural environment.
The children will:
- Put the litter in the correct place.
- Monitor the lights, smartboards, etc.
- Outdoor clean up afternoon.
- Make Eco posters for the school.
The teachers will:
- Provide roles for the children for monitoring.
- Provide bins and recycle bins for use in the classroom and common areas.
- Set up a day for clean up in the outdoor areas.
- Provide resources to encourage good practice and awareness.
