P2~: Wild Flower Planting

Following on from our work to attract and feed birds during the winter months, P2 have made a further contribution towards meeting our latest ecology Eco target.  With gloves on, trowels in hand and watering cans at the ready, P2 have been working hard to create a wild garden area to attract minibeasts to the wild area of the new Eco Garden. Having built a minibeast hotel from salvaged wood and stone, Mrs Barrie kindly offered us some wild flower seeds to plant.  It is hoped that the wild Scottish flowers will help attract bees and butterflies to the garden and provide an attractive area for the butterflies we are soon to release.

Having raised our butterflies from tiny larva, they are almost ready to release into the wild to start the life-cycle again.
