P2: Santa’s Snowman Glass

We have been incredibly industrious in P2 this week. Following a request from Mrs Jackson and the Parent Council, we got to work on creating something exciting to sell at the Christmas Fair. We decided to make a special milk glass to leave out for Santa. Each of us made a glass as well as some extra ones just in case. My, how that turned out to be a good idea! We used special glass paint pens to create our snowmen designs and even had to bake them in the oven to make them dishwasher safe. We even printed special tags and clipped them on to each glass with a cool Santa peg.

At the Christmas Fair we each took turns to help at the stall. We collected money, gave change and topped up our stock. Some of us even ate the display cookies!! Unfortunatley, our glasses were so popular that we sold out within an hour. Don’t worry though – we’re going to make more. Thank you to everyone who bought one and for supporting the fair and Parent Council. We chose this as our favourite experience of the week and thought you might like to see the proccess and how we hand-painted each one.
