P2 Health Week News (2017)

In an action packed week of health, fitness and lifestyle learning, P2 enjoyed some fabulous experiences to help promote a healthy balanced lifestyle and the importance of physical wellbeing. The huge smiles during the judo session tell you how popular the activity was while the Zumba dance lesson and fun fitness were a great way to improve our travel skills, balance and coordination. We upped our running over the week and are working hard to increase our stamina for the spring athletics learning block. Mrs McNeilage was incredibly kind to show us around a sailing boat and teach us about operating the sails. Later in the week we focused on what to do to help people in an emergency and we had a great time roleplaying different emergency situations during Heartstart training. Mrs Hanks helped us to bake honey and oat flapjacks where we had to follow a recipe and measure ingredients. They were delicious and a welcome boost following our cross-country mile in the park. There was just time at the end of a fun filled week to have a well deserved play in the park; and to finish off the last of the flapjacks.

It was a wonderful week of learning, fun and achievement and P2 would like to thank Mrs McNeilage, Mr Caldwell and all the specialists for their time and efforts in helping make it so much fun. If you weren’t sure how much fun, fitness and learning P2 could pack into Health Week, take a look at our video below…
