Pupils from Hermitage Primary presented their technology skills at a local authority event today and showcased their creative skills by premiering not one, but two original animated films.
The pupils from Primary 3 and Primary 7, who together form the Hermitage Animation Team, wrote, illustrated, animated, directed and edited their short films to help promote two of the school’s Eco targets.
The pupils also wrote a presentation to explain the process, from original idea to the final cut, and ran hands-on workshops where they got to teach their animation skills to parents and pupils from other schools.
The event was a great success and the pupils had some wonderful feedback.
We would like to extend our thanks to the pupils for all of their hard work and for giving up their Saturday to present at the event. Also, a big thank you to the parents for giving up their time of a weekend and for supporting the event.
You can watch both of their short animated films below, as well as a short video explaining the creative process.
